Q. When is the Leicester Music Festival?

A. LMF is being hosted at the Welford Road Stadium on Friday 25^th and Saturday 26^th July from 12 noon to 10.30pm.

Q. Can I camp at the festival?

A. No. LMF is a day event only. Leicester does however have a number of excellent hotels including our hotel partner the Hilton Leicester.

Q. How much do LMF tickets cost?

A. Tickets for the event are available from £45 per person, per day.

Q. Are there discounts on tickets for families or dual-day tickets?

A. There is a 10% off dual-day tickets.

Q. How many people are expected to attend LMF?

A. We are expecting an audience of up to 44,000 people over the two days.

Q. What sort of crowds will LMF attract?

A. LMF has been specifically set in the summer holidays to attract a family audience. The eclectic mix of acts means there is something for the whole family to enjoy.

Q. When are the acts performing?

A. The performing acts by day are:

Friday 25^th July: Tinie Tempah; Professor Green; Katy B; Soul II Soul; Billy Ocean; Aswad; Diversity.

Saturday 26^th July: Labrinth; Union J; The Saturdays; Diversity; Sam Bailey; The Real Thing; Stereo Nation; Kool & The Gang; UB40.

N.B the running order of each day is still to be set.

Q. Who are the people behind LMF?

A. LMF is the brainchild of local businessmen Shane Whitfield and Manoj Keshavji who together have a shared vision of putting Leicester on the map for music by bringing big name acts to the city.

Q. Where can I buy tickets for LMF?

A. Tickets are available to buy from The Ticket Factory, Skiddle and from the Leicester Tigers ticket office and Visit Leicester on Gallowtree Gate.

Q. How do I get to and from LMF?

Q. Is there car parking at LMF and how much does it cost?

A. There is car parking available. More information will be available soon.

Q. Are there refreshments at LMF?

A. There are refreshments kiosks available at various points in the Welford Road stadium as well as in the concourse.

Q. Can I bring my own food and drink to LMF?

A. Strictly Prohibited.

Q. Will alcohol be served at LMF?

A. Yes but make sure you bring ID as we will be enforcing a strict challenge 25 policy.

Q. In addition to the artists performing will there be any other entertainment?

A. There will be a funfair outside the stadium as well as live music performed by local acts selected from Play @ LMF

Q. Is this a suitable event to bring my small children to?

A. Yes this is a family festival and suitable for all ages. The standing area however is strictly over 14 years old.

Q. Is photography and videography of the event allowed?

A. No cameras or video recording equipment are permitted in the stadium.

Q. Where can I go after the festival has finished?

A.  Leicester city has a number of great bars and restaurants to choose from. Please check our social channels for any upcoming deals.

Q. Can I volunteer to help at LMF?

A.  At present we have our quota of security and support staff agreed however if you have a CV please forward it to info@leicestermusicfestival.co.uk

Q. What happens if there is inclement weather?

A. The show must go on. The Welford Road stadium’s seating is covered.

Q. I have a VIP ticket what does that mean?

Q. I am local business and would like to support the event, how can I get involved?

A. There are sponsorship and advertising options currently available. Please contact info@leicestermusicfestival.co.uk

Q. Can I bring deck chairs into the festival?

A. No. Unfortunately we cannot allow this due to health and safety.
